Therapeutic Approach and Specializations

Many clients I have had the privilege of working with come seeking support for a range of issues, including self-esteem, anxiety, worry, depression, dissociation, and coping with trauma. My true passion lies in serving trauma survivors, and I have undergone advanced training in areas such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), borderline personality disorder (BPD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), and depressive disorders. My therapeutic toolkit includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

In my sessions with adults of all ages, I prioritize the use of grounding and mindfulness tools. These techniques help clients stay anchored in the present moment and foster an increased sense of safety and emotional regulation. This approach has proven highly effective in assisting clients with emotional regulation, decreasing dissociative experiences, enhancing confidence, and boosting self-esteem.

Education Background and Professional Experience

My journey in the field of mental health began with a Master’s degree in Counseling from LeTourneau University and a Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Walden University. Previously, I had the honor of working at the Women’s Center of East Texas, where I provided support to survivors of childhood, domestic, and sexual abuse. Currently, I am completing a Doctoral degree that centers on survivors of childhood maltreatment and parenting.

Therapeutic Style and Philosophy

My therapeutic style is characterized by validation, goal orientation, and a non-judgmental approach. When clients embark on their therapeutic journey with me, I aim to establish a solid therapeutic relationship where they feel safe and heard. This foundation allows us to work together as a team, with a shared focus on achieving the client’s goals.

I understand the importance of having a space where individuals can remove their masks, breathe freely, and openly discuss uncomfortable memories, thoughts, or beliefs. Our collaborative work aims to bring out the best version of each client, supporting them in their journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.

In this shared therapeutic space, we will explore your unique path towards personal development and well-being. My commitment to your growth and well-being is unwavering, and I look forward to embarking on this transformative journey with you.
